How to read this calendar
Spring tides win. Around the new and full moon the tidal range is largest: the water drops further, the seabed stays open longer, and the evening high tide floats the gate at its most photogenic. One date, both extremes.
Times shown are the walkable windows — the hours when the tide is below 100 cm and you can walk out to the torii. Windows before ~7:00 or after dark are realistic only if you stay on the island.
Blank-looking days aren't bad days. On neap tides the gate simply stays afloat all day — arguably its most beautiful state. They're just not seabed-walking days.
